About MUGA

With a rise in popularity of multi use or shared games areas in the UK, follows a rise in concerns by the local community in the noise created by these venues. Impact noises from ball sports are often complimented by vocal noise (sometimes bad language) but also logistical noise by arrivals and departures of a volume of players and spectators accessing the venue and pooling in areas.

The guidance for noise assessment in planning applications for MUGA’s in England & Wales is implicit and relies very much on the skill of the acoustic consultant to justify the context in the environment.

Our consultants are members of the IOA (Institute of Acoustics) and are familiar with situational contexts that can be used to justify applications and disputes in line with appropriate guidance. Our services include initial design advice to minimise noise disturbance through to reducing long term issues by creating noise management programmes.

We offer a ‘whole community’ approach to resolving issues to ensure the wellbeing of residence and continued success of the venue in the community.
